- Description: Offering the Step Up program to increase participants' understanding of true leadership and to develop a core of Butte County leaders in the child care and development field. The programs provide opportunity for professional development acquisition, career and experience enhancement, and professional retention. Program activities include professional growth trainings, roundtable discussions, and implementation of an action plan.

- Eligibility: Only available to title 5 funded state preschools. Must work directly with children 20 hours per week or supervise staff who work directly with children 20 hours per week. Must work in a program located in Butte County and licensed through Community Care Licensing. Must be currently employed in a CDE subsidized center-based program for children 0-12 years of age. Must hold a current Child Development permit or be in the process of applying for one.
